Cotton Candy Lobster is a hybrid strain bred by Cipher Genetics as part of a series of Blue Lobster crosses released in 2024. Its genetics trace back to Blue Lobster, which is the Maine Trees selection of a Compound Genetics cross involving Apples and Bananas and Eye Candy, also known as Facade. Blue Lobster gained recognition by winning three awards at the East Coast 2023 Zalympix. The Facade lineage itself comes from Eye Candy and is noted for its visual appeal. Cotton Candy Lobster results from crossing Cotton Candy Runtz with Blue Lobster, combining these distinct genetic backgrounds.
