It is bred to produce tall, vigorous plants with high resin production and terpene profiles reminiscent of candy shops, such as bubble gum, melon, and tart strawberry. The strain contains about 20% THC and is known for its relaxing effects. The original Crystal Candy strain won first place for indica flower at the 2017 Spannabis Champions Cup.
